We are recruiting a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join the night team at a well-established, family-owned residential care home in Southminster, Essex.
Providing exceptional care since 1988, this welcoming home specialises in supporting older people in a comfortable, homely environment where residents are always placed at the heart of everything they do. With just 25 beds, the home offers a close-knit community atmosphere, allowing staff to build meaningful relationships and deliver truly person-centred care.
As a Night Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable and supported throughout the night. You will provide high-quality care, respond to residents' needs, and help maintain a calm and reassuring environment while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care during night shifts
- Assist residents with personal care and mobility needs
- Carry out regular welfare and comfort checks
- Respond promptly to call bells and resident requests
- Support residents who may require reassurance during the night
- Maintain accurate care records and handovers
- Promote residents' dignity, privacy and independence
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellent standards of care
Candidate Requirements
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential
- A caring, patient and compassionate nature
- Ability to work effectively and confidently during night shifts
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and professional approach
- Genuine passion for supporting older people
