Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and a knack for creating memorable experiences for our guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for serving drinks, managing the bar area, and ensuring that all patrons receive exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. This vacancy is for a part time role, weekends and an odd weekday shift.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and taking orders efficiently.
- Monitor customer behaviour to ensure responsible alcohol service and adherence to legal regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Uphold food safety standards and maintain a clean working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and drink measurements.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills, able to provide help and support to customers effectively.
