We know that some of the very best Careers Advisors come from a wide range of professional backgrounds. If you have experience working in education, guidance services, employability, recruitment, training, youth work, student support or a related field, we'd love to hear from you. Your real-world knowledge and insight are invaluable, helping students understand the opportunities available to them and make confident decisions about their future.
As a Careers Advisor, you will have a good understanding of the Gatsby Benchmarks and will provide structured, impartial and professional careers advice and guidance, helping students explore their options, understand labour market information, identify progression routes and develop realistic, achievable career plans. You'll play a key role in supporting students to make informed choices about education, training and employment opportunities, empowering them to achieve their aspirations and fulfil their potential.
If you don’t already hold a Level 4 CEIAG qualification, don’t worry. We’ll support you to achieve this within your first 18 months, helping you build the skills and confidence to support our students’ futures.
You could currently be:
- Working as a Careers Advisor, Employability Advisor or Guidance Practitioner within education or training.
- Supporting young people or adults through progression, employability, recruitment, training or student support services and looking for a new challenge.
- Working in a customer-focused or advisory role and looking to move into a career where you can make a meaningful difference to people's lives.
- Seeking a career where you can combine your professional experience with supporting students to achieve their aspirations.
