Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gymnastics coach to join our positive, supportive team at Meon Valley Gymnastics. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing participants of various ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment that promotes skill development, confidence, and physical fitness. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire individuals through specialised coaching in gymnastics, fostering a love for the sport while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Level 1 & 2 coaches - deliver or assist in delivering engaging gymnastics training sessions tailored to different age groups and ability levels.
- Demonstrate proper techniques and safety procedures to minimise risk during training.
- Monitor participants’ progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement to support their development.
- Organise and supervise warm-up exercises, drills, and routines to optimise performance outcomes.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain equipment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and appropriately set up for each session.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding participant progress and programme updates.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and enjoyment of the sport.
Skills
- Gymnastics coaching experience.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate and engage individuals of diverse ages and abilities.
- Good communication skills to clearly convey instructions and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for gymnastics and inspiring children!
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
