We are looking to recruit an experienced Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV Driver to join our transport team.

The Role
The primary responsibility of this role is carrying out shunting movements within our manufacturing site to ensure the safe and efficient movement of caravans and lodges between production areas.
In addition, the successful candidate will undertake the safe transportation of caravans and lodges throughout the UK, delivering to holiday parks and customer locations using specialist equipment.
While the majority of work will be site-based shunting, applicants should be willing to undertake nationwide deliveries and overnight stays when required to meet operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily shunting movements of caravans and lodges around the manufacturing facility.
- Transport abnormal loads safely and professionally throughout the UK.
- Conduct vehicle and trailer safety checks before and after each journey.
- Ensure compliance with all DVSA regulations, Working Time Directive, and Drivers' Hours legislation.
- Secure loads correctly and operate specialist transport equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate transport documentation.
- Represent Victory Leisure Homes professionally when delivering to customers and holiday parks.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team and production departments.
- Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or delivery issues promptly.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience transporting abnormal loads,
- Excellent understanding of road transport legislation and safe loading practices.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience transporting static caravans, holiday homes, or lodges or similar oversized loads.
- Experience operating escort procedures and abnormal load routing.
- Knowledge of factory or manufacturing site shunting operations.
