Longview Surgical Services are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Minor Surgery team for one morning per week, supporting the GP during minor surgical procedures.
Working pattern: Thursdays. 8:00am to 1:00pm
The role will involve assisting the GP in a clinical/surgical setting and helping to ensure that minor procedure clinics run safely and efficiently.
We are looking for someone who has excellent knowledge in Health Care Settings to assist the Doctor, with minor surgery procedures. The candidate should hold an NVQ 2 or above in Health and Social Care, with basic computer literacy.
Main duties will include:
- Assisting the GP during minor surgical procedures
- Preparing the clinical room and equipment before procedures
- Ensuring appropriate infection prevention and control procedures are followed
- Cleaning and preparing the room between patients
- Supporting patients before, during and after procedures
- Maintaining appropriate stock levels and clinical supplies
- Completing relevant documentation as required
- Working closely with the GP and wider practice team
Pay: £12.92 per hour
