A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable, trustworthy, and hard-working to join our team at a well-established and highly respected takeaway, and soon to be restaurant, operating at the pinnacle of the takeaway food industry which has proudly served the community for over 35 years. Kitchen Wizard is no ordinary takeaway and never will be.
As the new owners, we are continuing the legacy of quality food, ingredients and excellent customer service as well as expanding what the business presently offers, building on an incredible foundation to offer an enhanced menu, extended opening hours, delivery service, restaurant and bar. The previous owner, who personally prepared all the food, has built a fantastic reputation and we’re looking for the right person to carry that forward, and co-ordinate and manage all kitchen operations.
Food Preparation & Quality
- Prepare and cook burgers and other menu items to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to company recipes and specifications.
- Maintain excellent presentation, portion control, and product quality.
- Monitor food quality throughout service and address any issues immediately.
Kitchen Management
- Help with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Help organise and manage kitchen workflows to ensure efficient service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Stock Control & Ordering
- Assist with monitoring stock levels and place orders with suppliers as required.
- Minimise waste and control food costs.
- Check deliveries and ensure products meet quality standards.
- Assist with maintaining accurate stock records and conduct regular stock takes.
Customer Service
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service.
- Respond professionally to customer feedback and resolve food-related issues.
- Ensure orders are prepared accurately and delivered within target times.
Business Performance
- Help achieve sales, profitability, and food cost targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and kitchen performance.
- Support the implementation of new menu items and promotions.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining high standards.
