Aysgarth Falls Hotel & Restaurant is looking for a passionate, organised and sales-driven Events Coordinator to help grow our events business and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in event planning and sales who thrives on building relationships, creating memorable events, and exceeding customer expectations.
About the Role
As our Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and selling a wide range of events, including:
- Weddings
- Wakes and celebration of life events
- Christenings and family celebrations
- Birthday parties and anniversaries
- Corporate conferences and meetings
- Car meets and enthusiast events
- Private dining and special occasions
- Seasonal and hotel-hosted events
You will be the first point of contact for clients from initial enquiry through to the successful delivery of their event, working closely with the hotel's operational teams to ensure every event runs seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to event enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Conduct venue show rounds and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Build strong relationships with clients and understand their individual requirements.
- Prepare event proposals, contracts and function sheets.
- Liaise with all hotel departments to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Maximise revenue through upselling and identifying new business opportunities.
- Attend networking events and actively promote the hotel within the local community.
- Help develop new event packages and promotional offers.
- Monitor enquiries, bookings and sales performance.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in event coordination, event sales or hospitality.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to generating new business.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and hotel booking systems
- Flexibility to work around events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
