About Fritton Lake
Fritton Lake is one of the most exciting luxury destinations in the East of England. Set within the wider Somerleyton Estate, it combines a private members’ club, lakeside cabins, wild swimming, and a growing events and hospitality offer. This is a fast-growing business with big ambitions, and this role sits right at the heart of that growth.
The role
We’re looking for a Group Bookings and Events Executive to drive revenue from larger group bookings, consumer retreats, press events, and corporate lifestyle stays at Fritton Lake. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Director and the holiday revenue team to qualify and convert inbound enquiries, turning interest into confirmed, high-value bookings.
Alongside your work for Fritton Lake, you’ll also support event and private hire enquiries for Somerleyton Hall.
This is a hands-on, revenue-generating role. You’ll manage relationships with high-value clients from first enquiry through to delivery on the ground, so you’ll need to be as comfortable pulling together a bespoke quote as you are hosting a client visit.
The role will be delivered across three days a week pro rata. You will be expected to work some weekends.
What you’ll be doing
- Qualifying and converting inbound leads for group bookings, retreats, press events, and corporate lifestyle stays
- Working with the team to build bespoke quotes and proposals for larger or more complex requirements
- Proactively chasing leads through the sales pipeline to get bookings over the line
- Managing high-value clients personally, from first contact through to on-the-ground delivery
- Supporting event and private hire enquiries for Somerleyton Hall
- Building a clear understanding of which clients and bookings bring the best value to the business
- Working with the marketing team to shape strategies for attracting more of those high-value clients
- Acting as a confident host on-site, representing Fritton Lake to guests, press, and corporate visitors
- Pitching in with the delivery team on the ground when needed, as part of a small, close-knit team
About you
- Experience in travel, luxury hospitality, or a luxury brand environment
- Early in your career, but with genuine, demonstrable competency rather than years of tenure
- A confident, natural communicator who builds trust with high-value clients quickly
- Excellent hosting and hospitality instincts — you know how to make people feel looked after
- Comfortable managing multiple leads and quotes at once, with the organisation to keep them all moving
- A proactive, sales-minded approach — you don’t wait for bookings to convert themselves
- Commercially minded, with an interest in understanding what drives value for the business
- Happy to be flexible and hands-on, including supporting delivery on-site when the team needs it
- A team player who thrives in a small, growing business
