We are opening a brand-new Mental Health Residential Home in Coalville, dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people with complex needs. What You’ll Do (The Role):
Your days will be varied, active, and deeply rewarding. As a core member of our support team, you will:
- Build Trusted Connections: Create a safe, nurturing space for young people, helping them develop emotional resilience and daily life skills.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with families, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of holistic care.
- Create a Warm Home Environment: Pitch in with daily routines like cooking, cleaning, and organizing activities to keep the home feeling safe and welcoming.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed, up-to-date logs of daily interactions and progress, ensuring full compliance.
- Champion Safeguarding: Strictly follow and enforce all safeguarding policies to protect the wellbeing of everyone in our care.
What We Need From You:
The Must-Haves:
- Qualifications: A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or the absolute willingness and drive to complete it within the required timeframe).
- The Right Mindset: A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable youth and a thick skin for the challenging days.
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Flexibility: The nature of residential care means shift work is essential—this includes weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
The Nice-to-Haves:
- Prior experience working with children or young people (especially within mental health or residential settings).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to work brilliantly as part of a team, but also use your own initiative when it matters most.

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
