We are looking for an enthusiastic person to help maintain our parks and open spaces, to make sure the South Hams is a great place to visit. If you are comfortable working outdoors in all weathers and have some experience using tools and equipment relevant to grounds maintenance, such as mowers and strimmers, then this would be a great opportunity to join our busy team.
The job will include manual tasks of a physically demanding nature, which will require a reasonable standard of physical fitness.
The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team, be enthusiastic and adaptable, and have a commitment to a high standard of customer care and equally, a commitment to completing work to a high standard. Ideally, you will have some horticultural experience, and a full UK driving license.
Full PPE and training will be provided. You may be required to work anywhere in the South Hams, but you will be based at our operational depot in Ivybridge.
The succesful candidate will work an annualised hours pattern as detailed below –
During the summer period – 37 weeks 40 hours per week
During the winter period – 15 weeks 30 hours per week
