Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a proven track record in retail or sales management. Duties
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning throughout the day
- Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management to foster a high-performing team
- Manage merchandising displays to optimise product presentation and maximise sales opportunities
- Handle customer enquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Contribute to sales management strategies by analysing performance data and implementing improvement initiatives
- Maintain organisational standards by ensuring cleanliness, stock levels, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as inventory control, reporting, and record keeping with strong organisational skills
- Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities, including effective time management and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in management or supervisory roles within retail or related sectors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual or bilingual capabilities are advantageous
- Demonstrated organisational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and administrative tasks
- Experience in sales management, including achieving targets and analysing performance metrics
- Previous experience in retail management or merchandising is preferred
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently through effective time management
- Professional demeanour with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Organised with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
