We're looking for an experienced and ambitious Operations Manager to lead our operation at Belfast International Airport (BFS). What You'll Be Responsible For
A workforce of circa 30 team members working day and night shifts covering 24 hours per day, 365 days per year
You'll lead and oversee multiple operational service lines, including:
- Aircraft Cabin Cleaning
- Aircraft Interior Deep Cleaning
- Toilet & Water Servicing
- Aircraft Exterior Cleaning
As Station Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring every service is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while maintaining strong customer relationships and achieving operational and financial targets.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading Operational Excellence
- Oversee all day-to-day and night to night station activities across multiple service lines.
- Ensure aircraft are serviced and prepared on time to support airline schedules.
- Drive operational performance, efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Manage resources effectively to meet customer requirements.
Building High-Performing Teams
- Recruit, develop, coach, and inspire operational teams.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
- Ensure teams are trained, compliant, and equipped for success.
Delivering Outstanding Customer Service
- Build strong relationships with airline customers and airport stakeholders.
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues.
- Ensure service level agreements are consistently achieved.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Driving Safety & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety-first culture across the station.
- Ensure compliance with airport regulations, company policies, and aviation legislation.
- Investigate incidents, manage risk, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain safety, security, and operational compliance standards.
Managing Performance & Costs
- Monitor KPIs, productivity, labour utilisation, and service quality.
- Deliver operational and financial targets.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost efficiencies.
- Produce reports and provide operational updates to senior management.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Experience in aviation, airport operations, ground handling, cleaning services, or a similar operational leadership role is advantageous
- Proven experience managing large teams within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience managing performance, productivity, budgets, and operational KPIs.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
