Astley Dental Centre
Job type: Permanent, part-time
Pay: £18.00–£22.00 per hour, based on experience and portfolio
Expected hours: 15–20 hours per week
Location: On-site at Astley Dental Centre, with some remote editing by agreement
About the Role
Astley Dental Centre is looking for a creative, confident and organised Part-Time Video Content Creator to produce engaging, high-quality video content for our social media platforms.
This role is focused exclusively on video content. You will be responsible for planning, filming and editing professional short-form videos that showcase our clinicians, treatments, technology, patient experience and practice culture.
We are looking for someone who understands how to create engaging content for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, and who can turn everyday activity within the practice into informative, authentic and visually strong videos.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, directing clinicians and team members on camera, and creating content that reflects the premium and professional image of Astley Dental Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, film and edit high-quality short-form video content.
- Create Instagram Reels, TikTok-style videos and YouTube Shorts.
- Film clinicians explaining treatments and answering common patient questions.
- Capture behind-the-scenes footage of the practice, team and technology.
- Produce videos showcasing treatments such as dental implants, Invisalign, full-arch rehabilitation, same-day teeth and cosmetic dentistry.
- Film patient testimonials and treatment journeys where appropriate consent has been obtained.
- Develop creative video ideas based on current social media trends.
- Write simple video concepts, scripts, hooks and shot lists.
- Direct clinicians and team members during filming.
- Add captions, music, transitions, graphics and branding to completed videos.
- Repurpose longer recordings into multiple pieces of short-form content.
- Maintain a consistent, premium and professional visual style.
- Organise filming sessions around clinician and treatment availability.
- Manage and organise raw footage and completed video files.
- Work closely with the marketing lead to support campaigns, promotions and treatment awareness.
- Ensure all video content follows patient confidentiality, consent and data-protection requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience filming and editing social media videos.
- A strong understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
- Good knowledge of short-form video hooks, storytelling and audience retention.
- Confidence directing people who may not be experienced on camera.
- Strong creative instincts and the ability to identify good content opportunities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple video projects.
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working within a busy dental practice.
- Comfortable filming clinical environments and dental procedures.
- Access to suitable filming equipment or a high-quality smartphone setup.
- Experience using editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
Desirable Experience
- Experience creating content for a dental, healthcare, cosmetic or luxury brand.
- Experience producing patient testimonials or case-study videos.
- Knowledge of social media trends and content performance.
- Experience creating scripts, shot lists and content plans.
- Basic photography skills.
- An understanding of healthcare advertising, patient consent and confidentiality.
Previous dental experience is not essential, as training and guidance on our treatments and services will be provided.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be someone who can enter the practice, recognise strong content opportunities and confidently turn them into polished, engaging videos.
You should be comfortable suggesting ideas, directing clinicians, filming treatments and creating content that feels professional, informative, human and visually appealing.
The content you produce should help Astley Dental Centre to:
- Build awareness of the practice.
- Educate patients about treatment options.
- Introduce our clinicians and wider team.
- Showcase our technology and patient experience.
- Promote high-value dental treatments.
- Build trust with prospective patients.
- Generate engagement, enquiries and consultations.
- Strengthen the overall Astley Dental Centre brand.
Working Arrangements
This is primarily an on-site role, as the successful candidate will need to film within the dental practice.
The role is expected to involve approximately 15–20 hours per week. Working days can be arranged around planned treatments, clinicians’ availability and scheduled filming sessions.
Some editing work may be completed remotely by agreement.
This role may suit an experienced content creator, videographer, media graduate or social media professional looking for consistent part-time work with an established healthcare brand.
Application Requirements
Please apply with:
- Your CV.
- A portfolio or examples of videos you have created.
- Links to any social media accounts, businesses or brands you have worked with.
- Details of the filming and editing equipment you use.
- Your availability.
