Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cladder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and cladding installation, with a strong understanding of construction principles. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry, fabrication, or masonry to specialise further in cladding and roofing systems.
Duties
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately install cladding systems
- Measure and cut materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment
- Install roofing and cladding panels on commercial or residential structures, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening
- Utilise welding techniques where necessary to join metal components securely
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely during installation processes
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing cladding or roofing systems as required
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards
- Maintain a clean work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored appropriately after use
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles, particularly in roofing, carpentry, masonry or fabrication
- Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery
- Ability to work at heights and perform heavy lifting safely
- Strong understanding of safety protocols within construction environments
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual tasks over extended periods
- Relevant certifications or training in roofing, welding, or construction trades are advantageous but not essential
