Overview
We are seeking motivated individuals for the position of Self Drive Hire, available on a full-time or part-time basis at our Preston Road site. This role involves providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our hire services. Candidates should possess strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on delivering a professional experience to clients. Multilingual abilities, particularly in English with Spanish being an advantage, are highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. The position offers an engaging environment for those interested in the vehicle hire industry, with opportunities to develop key skills such as upselling and merchandising. You will be using industry standard software where full training will be given on operation.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting and hiring vehicles, ensuring a positive experience.
- Provide clear information about vehicle features, rental terms, and policies.
- Manage booking schedules efficiently, maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
- Upsell additional services or products to maximise customer satisfaction and revenue.
- Maintain a professional appearance and phone etiquette when communicating with clients.
- Organise vehicle availability and coordinate with the team to ensure timely vehicle preparation.
- Handle customer queries both in person and via telephone, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Support merchandising efforts by presenting vehicles attractively and promoting special offers.
- Ensure all rental documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with company policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or retail merchandising is preferred but not essential.
- Driving license essential. D1 category is an advantage but not essential.
- Proficiency in English is essential with Spanish being an advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and calculations accurately.
- Experience in upselling or promoting products/services is beneficial.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
