Duties
- Deliver engaging and tailored tutoring sessions in A' Level Biology to students of varying skill levels
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual student needs
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure continuous improvement
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, questions, and active participation
- Support students in exam preparation by reviewing past papers, explaining key concepts, and building confidence
- Maintain clear communication with students and parents regarding progress, challenges, and achievements
- Keep detailed records of tutoring sessions, student performance, and areas for further development
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching biology at the A' Level or equivalent level
- Strong understanding of biological sciences and current curriculum standards
- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts in an accessible manner
- Experience working with children or young adults, including those with special educational needs
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and individual requirements
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a motivating approach to inspire students’ interest in biology
- Knowledge of best practices in special education is a plus
