Coded Welder – Permanent Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and fabrication company seeking an experienced Coded Welder to join their team in Milton Keynes. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering long-term stability, competitive pay, and overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality coded welding to approved standards and procedures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Weld structural steel and fabricated components using MIG, MAG, or MMA processes (depending on project requirements).
- Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards.
- Perform visual inspections of completed welds.
- Work closely with the fabrication and production teams to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
Requirements
- Valid welding qualifications/coding (such as BS EN ISO 9606-1 or equivalent).
- Previous experience working as a coded welder in a structural steel, fabrication, or heavy engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
