Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team On a temporary basis on Saturdays as and when needed however this can be extended to other days if both sides agree.
In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the aesthetic appeal of residential properties.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Use a variety of tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding to achieve desired effects efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand design specifications and color schemes.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following health and safety protocols at all times.
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding project progress or any adjustments needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related fields.
- Valid driving license to facilitate transportation between job sites.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration and client interactions
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work at heights as required.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting equipment and working at heights.
- Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with different types of paints, wall coverings, and surface preparation techniques.
Pay: £120.00-£150.00 per day
