We are looking to recruit a Chef de Partie to help support our Cafe Bar team.
The ideal candidate will be passionate, friendly, energetic and calm.
Quality ingredients are at the heart of what we do. We take great pride in working with the freshest, most local and seasonal produce available and grow as many of our ingredients as possible on our farm in Backwell. As much as possible gets made on the premises and we like to keep things simple and straightforward, keeping the menus small and seasonal.

Key responsibilities are:
- To efficiently run your own section whilst ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation and plate presentation.
- Plan and participate in production, preparation and presentation of meals.
- Help the Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus.
- Keep up to date with new products, menus and promotions.
- Ensure all items produced are according to standard recipes and portion yields.
- To work within agreed time limits and with minimum wastage.
- Assist in training, development and motivation of junior staff.
- Be fluent in HACCP procedures and assist in due diligence.
- Work in co-operation with other departments.
You must have at least 1-year experience as a Chef de Partie, have a friendly approach and a real passion for cooking.

Tobacco Factory Cafe Bar, located on Southville’s bustling North Street is a community hub for great food, drink, music and art. We’re a spacious venue (converted from an historic factory) with lots of seating and a stage/event space inside, as well as our Yard Bar terrace and garden outside. We serve a veggie/vegan menu that uses ingredients from our own farm in Backwell and other local suppliers, alongside craft beer + cider, wines, spirits and hot drinks.
We also run a popular Sunday Market, with local makers & producers alongside Bristol’s best street-food traders.
