Shifts: 8am–8pm or 8pm–8am
Pay: Weekly or monthly options available
We are seeking caring, reliable and confident Support Workers to join a small, consistent 2:1 daytime team supporting an adult male who lives independently in his own home. He has a brain injury and uses a wheelchair, requiring full personal care, moving and handling support, and safe use of hoisting equipment.
He communicates his needs clearly and has capacity, though he may become verbally frustrated when routines change. With calm, patient and consistent support, he settles quickly and engages well. Your role will help him maintain independence, enjoy meaningful activities and feel confident both at home and in the community.
As a Day Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping him live safely, comfortably and in line with his preferences. Responsibilities include:

Personal care delivered with dignity and respect

Moving and handling, including hoisting and wheelchair support

Driving his automatic Motability vehicle to access community activities

Supporting him to enjoy meaningful routines, including regular hydrotherapy sessions

Encouraging social interaction, emotional wellbeing and structured daily activities

Assisting with meal preparation and maintaining a tidy, organised home
-
Supporting clear, effective communication

Promoting independence while offering reassurance and a calm, steady presence
