Now Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Northampton for a dedicated SEMH Primary Teacher. This is a full-time, term-time-only role with the opportunity to move from temporary to permanent for the right candidate.
This position is ideal for a passionate teacher who has experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behaviour that challenges. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils re-engage with learning in a structured, nurturing environment.

The Role
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to primary-aged pupils
- Support pupils with SEMH needs and behaviour that challenges
- Create a structured and supportive classroom environment
- Work closely with support staff and the wider school team
- Implement behaviour strategies that promote positive outcomes
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK – essential
- Experience working with SEMH pupils or behaviour that challenges
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Commitment to supporting pupils’ emotional and educational development
