The Role
We are looking for a reliable and flexible Production Operative to join our timber frame manufacturing team.
This will be a varied, hands-on role, with duties changing depending on the requirements of the business. Work will include manufacturing timber frame components, operating saws and machinery, and assisting with general factory and yard duties.
Full training will be provided, although previous experience in timber frame manufacturing, joinery, carpentry, saw operation or a similar production environment would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing timber frame wall panels and other timber components
- Operating saws and other production machinery
- Using pneumatic and hand tools
- Cutting timber accurately to cutting lists and specifications
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Measuring accurately and working to specification
- Assisting with loading, unloading and general yard duties when required
- Moving and organising timber and materials
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality
- General housekeeping within the factory and yard
- Manual handling and heavy lifting
- Carrying out other production duties as required
Requirements
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
- Reliable with good attendance and timekeeping
- Flexible and willing to work across different areas of the factory and yard
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work safely and follow instructions
- Ability to read technical drawings or cutting lists would be advantageous
Working Hours & Overtime
- Standard hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Occasional overtime available, paid at 1.5x hourly rate

Pay: £13.49-£14.76 per hour
