Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products across designated routes
- Load, secure, and unload cargo with attention to safety protocols and proper handling procedures
- Verify delivery orders for accuracy and completeness before departure and upon arrival
- Navigate efficiently using GPS or maps to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on routes
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical concerns promptly
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition for record-keeping purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial driving background
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with delivery procedures involving flatbed trucks and cargo securement techniques
- Strong driving skills with knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and securing loads effectively
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment
Pay: £36,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
