About the Role
In this role, you will lead and manage the hygiene team across multiple shifts, ensuring all hygiene schedules are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will play a key role in maintaining food safety, allergen control, compliance, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing site.
You will also be responsible for coaching and developing your team, ensuring strong hygiene practices are embedded across the business, and supporting cross-functional collaboration with production and engineering teams.

Monday to Friday
10:00am – 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage the hygiene team to ensure all cleaning schedules are completed to standard and on time
· Carry out hygiene cleaning duties as required
· Implement, monitor, and continuously improve hygiene processes, procedures, and work instructions
· Coordinate effectively with production and engineering teams to support safe and efficient operations, including allergen management
· Deliver training sessions to team members on hygiene and food safety procedures
· Ensure full compliance with health & safety and food safety requirements
· Maintain accurate hygiene documentation and records
· Conduct regular hygiene audits and support corrective actions where required
· Carry out performance and probation reviews with team members
· Manage hygiene stock levels and raise replenishment requests
· Identify, record, and escalate health & safety and food safety issues appropriately
· Support the creation and review of risk assessments, SSOW, SOPs, and work instructions for new machinery
· Drive continuous improvement in hygiene standards and practices
About You
· Experience working in a hygiene role within the food manufacturing industry
· Strong understanding of hygiene standards, food safety, and allergen controls
· Some experience leading or supervising a team, with a passion for developing people
· Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and allergen awareness (or willingness to develop further)
· Strong organisational and planning skills
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Competent using Microsoft Word and Excel
· A proactive approach to health & safety and food safety
This is an on-site role based at our manufacturing site.
