Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to residents in nursing and care home settings. The successful candidate will assist with personal care, mobility, daily living activities, and companionship, ensuring residents are treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. Working as part of a caring team, you will help promote residents' comfort, independence, and overall well-being through person-centred care.
Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation and review of individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
- Monitor and record health conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments, ensuring their needs are met during travel
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure high standards of care are maintained
Requirements
- 6 months UK experience working in health and social care
- Certification in moving + handling and medication administration Is preferred but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in managing medication schedules and care routines
- Compassionate nature with strong communication skills and patience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time managment skills
- Reliable and dependable, with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality care and support while meeting professional responsibilities.
