About the role
We’re a growing home goods business looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Operative to join us on a casual basis. Shifts will be offered consistently throughout the month, with flexibility on both sides. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants steady casual work with genuine scope to take on more responsibility and grow into a leadership role over time.
What you’ll be doing
- Unloading stock from shipping containers (physical work — manual handling involved)
- Organising and maintaining the warehouse: putaway, stock rotation, keeping the space tidy and efficient
- Picking and packing parcels accurately for dispatch across multiple sales channels
- Learning to operate a forklift (full training provided — no prior experience needed)
- Supporting general day-to-day warehouse operations as needed
What we’re looking for
- Reliable and punctual — someone we can count on shift to shift
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual lifting and being on your feet
- Motivated and eager to learn, with a positive, can-do attitude
- Good attention to detail when packing and handling stock
- Someone who wants to progress — take initiative, learn the systems, and grow towards leading a small team
Nice to have (not essential)
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or manual labour experience
- Existing forklift licence (counterbalance)
- Familiarity with inventory or dispatch systems
