Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Shellfish Driver & Factory Packer. This role involves delivering fresh shellfish to various locations and assisting with packing operations within our factory. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in warehouse environments, and the ability to handle physical tasks efficiently. Duties
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles, to transport shellfish to and from designated destinations
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high safety standards
- Assist with packing shellfish products in the factory, including heavy lifting and handling of fragile items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the packing area
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and packing requirements
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during driving and packing activities
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure roadworthiness
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably with commercial driving.
- Experience working in warehouse or food processing environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
- Familiarity with driving regulations and safety protocols for commercial vehicles
- Previous experience in food packaging or related roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
