Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to support the organisation's compliance, sustainability and continuous improvement activities across the manufacturing sites.
The role will ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, regulatory obligations and business management systems. This position will play a key role in maintaining controlled documentation, supporting internal auditing activities, responding to customer compliance requests, and contributing to lean and sustainability initiatives.
You will work within the Business Management Systems (BMS) department and collaborate closely with all other departments to support compliance, process consistency and continuous improvement while fostering positive and professional working relationships.
Duties
- Compliance and regulatory support
- Internal auditing to ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 standards - Including quality and environmental procedures
- Identify non-conformances, risks and opportunities for improvement
- Support corrective action activities and follow up actions
- Document control and SharePoint management
- Support LEAN and continuous improvement activities
- Support sustainability initiatives and environmental improvement projects
- Minute taking and report write up of annual management review meeting
- Carry out additional duties appropriate to the role as required
Requirements
Essential:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications e.g. excel, word
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Problem solving mindset with a proactive approach
- Must have good level of GCSEs including maths and English
Desirable:
- Internal auditing experience
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Experience within a manufacturing environment advantageous
- SharePoint experience
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement activities
- A levels/BTEC in associated area
Location
Main location Blackwood with travel to sites in Aberbeeg and Blaina. On site in person required while training. Option for hybrid after training
Working Hours
18 hours to be worked over three 6 hour days between the hours of 9am-3.30pm. Hours are negotiable

Pay: £25,700.00-£29,928.00 per year
