We are currently looking for a Buyer to join our Commercial team in Theale.
What you'll be doing:
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the effective control and timely procurement of materials to support all construction-related activities.
This will include:
securing best value
placing orders in line with the relevant build programme and specification
actively managing supplier relationships, and collaborate closely with Site, Technical and Commercial teams.
Skills & knowledge you'll bring:
Typically 3-5 years' relevant experience as a Buyer within residential housebuilding
Strong supplier relationship management
Excellent negotiation skills
Good understanding of materials, specifications and cost control
Ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation
Proficiency in COINS or a similar construction system
Able to use Microsoft Office packages, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent IT and numerical skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
