Wage - £35,000 - 40,000
Hours - 50 Hours p/w
As a Workshop Controller you will be responsible for controlling the work flow through the workshop, acting as quality control for the technicians’ work and striving to achieve a prompt first time fix for all work that is completed. This will ensure optimal workshop productivity and encourage customer recommendations.
The role will also have a coaching element to help drive the Workshop Technicians to better efficiency and productivity along with leading the way in delivering outstanding customer service.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate staff through coaching, development and managerial support. This is a busy role so excellent time management and organisational skills are essential.
You will be self-motivated and able to demonstrate excellent management skills and a full understanding of how a workshop operates. You should be a great communicator and leader whose enthusiasm and positive approach will encourage exceptional levels of productivity and customer care.
The ideal candidate requirements are:
- A strong career track record in workshop control / management
- Excellent Customer Service Skills and Focus
- Technical Background and experience
- Experience in managing a team of 6 or more motor vehicle technicians
- Understanding of Workshop loading, utilisation, efficiency, productivity and work quality
