The Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager with strong CAD knowledge to oversee all technical aspects of the business. This role will provide technical support across multiple departments ensuring that specifications are met, technical solutions are practical and projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for technical guidance, helping to identify solutions, resolve challenges and maintain high standards of quality throughout the business. You will work closely with all departments to ensure all technical requirements are implemented.
Responsibilities:
- To liaise with contractors and architects to understand project requirements and produce a complete drawing package for approval including CAD drawings and window schedules prepared in Excel and issued in PDF format.
- Ensuring specified products meet the project requirements and relevant British standards.
- Produce sample drawings and technical documentation for clients and inhouse for review.
- Perform technical calculations and assessments to verify compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Maintain company certifications, kitemarks, licences and audit records ensuring all documentation remains accurate, up to date and compliant to the business requirements.
- Collaborate with senior staff to develop, review and implement long-term company objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience using 2D CAD with a strong understanding of producing accurate drawing sets.
- Proven experience and technical knowledge of PVC windows and doors.
- Previous experience in a technical or draughting role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex projects to agreed deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across departments
- Preferably knowledge of windows first degree system but not essential.
