We are seeking an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, collection, and transportation of plant hire equipment to and from customer sites, construction locations, and depots.
The role requires a professional approach, excellent driving skills, and a strong focus on customer service, safety, and compliance.
This role will be based out of our South West depot, just outside of Evesham.
Responsibilities
The advertised role is for a CLASS 2 HGV driver to drive a 32T 8 wheeler. The driver’s duties include but may not be limited to:
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle to deliver and collect plant hire equipment.
- Transport a range of plant machinery and equipment to customer sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Complete equipment collections and returns, checking items for damage and reporting any issues.
- Load, secure, and unload plant equipment in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently.
- Complete all required paperwork, including delivery notes, collection sheets, and vehicle records.
- Liaise professionally with customers, site managers, and colleagues.
- Follow all road transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and professional company image at all times.
- Assist with basic equipment checks and site procedures where required
Role Requirements:
- Previous experience of delivering plant equipment preferred, although training will be given to any successful candidate
- Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence
- Driver CPC - full 35 hours completed – Essential (ongoing CPC course will be provided with 50% fee paid)
