Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Property Maintenance Operative to join our growing property management team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Head of Maintenance to ensure our residential properties are well maintained and that tenants receive a prompt and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head of Maintenance with the day-to-day running of the maintenance department.
* Respond to tenant maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Carry out general property maintenance, repairs, and basic handyman duties.
* Diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs where possible.
* Coordinate with external contractors when specialist works are required.
* Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
* Ensure communal areas and properties are maintained to a high standard.
* Keep accurate records of completed works and outstanding jobs.
* Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations.
* Liaise with tenants to provide updates on repair progress and resolve maintenance concerns.
* Assist with emergency call-outs when required.
* Help prepare properties for new tenants, including minor repairs and maintenance.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working order.
Requirements
* Previous experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role.
* Good practical skills across general repairs such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, decorating, and basic electrical work.
* Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence must.
* A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Pay: £25,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
