HU Developments is a Hull-based construction firm with over 25 years' experience, now part of Eden Property Group — a growing Yorkshire property investment and development business. We work across the region on residential refurbishment and development projects, and we're expanding our operations along the East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire coast with a pipeline of work for at least 2 years continuous from the time of writing.
The role
We're looking for a reliable, physically capable General Labourer to join our busy and rapidly growing team. You'll be involved in a variety of hands-on tasks across our residential refurbishment projects — from rip-out and preparation through to painting, decorating, and general site upkeep. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build practical skills and develop within a growing regional business.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for your own transport to and from work
General rip-out tasks — stripping walls, removing old furniture and goods
Assisting with painting and decorating
Rubbish removal and site clearance
Landscape maintenance and outdoor site tasks
Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Keeping work areas tidy and maintaining health and safety standards on site
Getting to and from work independently
What we're looking for
Own tools and own vehicle (or ability to make independent travel arrangements)
Strong physical fitness and the stamina for manual labour over a full working day
Confidence using hand tools and power tools safely
Reliable, punctual and a positive team player
Basic understanding of property maintenance and upkeep
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as the role develops
Desirable: Previous labouring or construction site experience
