Spire Harpenden Hospital is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Theatre Assistant to join our busy Operating Theatre team.

What You'll Be Doing:
As a key member of the theatre team, you will support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include
Supporting Nurses and Consultants during surgical procedures.
- Assisting Scrub Nurses within operating theatres.
- Supporting patients within the anaesthetic room.
- Safely transporting patients to and from theatre and wards.
- Opening sterile packs and preparing equipment for procedures.
- Preparing, checking and handling surgical instruments.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention and control.
- Contributing to a safe, efficient and high-quality theatre environment.
- Providing reassurance and support to patients throughout their theatre experience.

- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant, Support Worker or within a hospital setting
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous theatre experience (desirable)
