Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment including excavators, forklifts, conveyors, and other heavy machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes quickly.
- Conduct fabrication, welding, soldering, and electrical work to repair or modify equipment as needed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble parts or repair machinery efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate logistics operations such as loading/unloading materials, managing inventory levels, and scheduling equipment movement.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate safety procedures to ensure safe handling of materials and machinery.
- Support customer service efforts by ensuring equipment is operational for client projects and site needs.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical repair or maintenance within an industrial or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding and soldering.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical issues on machinery.
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment such as excavators and forklifts; certification is a plus.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and external partners.
