Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of resident care, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional resident service
- Supervise and support care staff, including providing leadership, training, and performance reviews
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care
- Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and in accordance with regulatory standards
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment that promotes dignity and independence for residents
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and industry standards
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care
- Manage administrative tasks such as documentation, reporting, and staff scheduling
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in service quality and resident satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, with a strong background in senior care and dementia management
- Demonstrable leadership skills with supervising experience in a healthcare or residential setting
- Knowledge of care planning processes and medication administration protocols
- Strong understanding of dementia and Alzheimer’s care requirements
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Compassionate approach with outstanding communication skills
- Relevant qualifications in nursing or healthcare management are preferred but not essential; however, experience in nursing or home care is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and lead by example
