Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients while promoting their independence. This role requires a blend of practical skills and emotional intelligence, as you will be working closely with management and individuals alongside their care plans.
We are also hiring part time workers and students as well. We currently do not offer any Sponsorship Roles.
Duties
- Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document changes in clients' behaviour or health status, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Attend appointments or social activities as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care or a related field is preferred but not essential. We will give you sufficient training before starting.
- Basic understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Certification in First Aid is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary but this is not essential.
- DBS already in place and on the update service would be a bonus.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
