Our son is looking for a new personal assistant. This is a paid role, and expenses are also covered (this includes food, drink, mileage, your activities).
This role doesn't involve personal care and is more akin to a big sister / brother to take him out to do the fun things he enjoys with someone around his own age, so you need a driving licence, your own car, and to be calm and responsible. You will need to undergo a DBS check and have an interview to make sure that you and Thomas get on together.
Thomas is 20 and is looking for someone around his own age. He had a heart attack at birth, and this has left him with some physical disabilities (epilepsy) and some learning difficulties, so he needs some help, but is still very sociable, quite independent, very happy, and fun to be around.
His current PA has taken him to the cinema, bowling, go-karting, and to Xscape and McDonalds. We’re keen for this to continue and explore other activities too. They have also met up with some of Thomas's friends and their PAs as a group.
We book anything that can be booked and paid for in advance.
Hours and timings are flexible and can be adapted around the PA's other commitments; usually it's a few hours at weekends during term-time and any day during college holidays.
Pay: £13.75 per hour
