Vision
Since September 2023 we have brought our wrap around care offer back in house, run by our own staff team. The goal of these sessions is to combine the superb pastoral care our school is known for alongside a fulfilling and interesting daily curriculum of activities. The role of the Play Worker is to implement the ethos and vision set by the Breakfast Club Manager, inspiring a team of staff to make this a highly regarded part of our offer to families at Avonwood.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our primary school as an Avonwood+ Play Worker for our in house wrap around school provision. We are looking to appoint a Play Worker to cover the following shifts: mornings 7.30am to 9am on Monday, Thursday and Friday.
Ideally suited to someone who has flexibility to cover the other days and afterschool club shifts if needed to cover staff absence.
About You
We are looking to appoint a member of staff with the following attributes:

highly motivated to implement our vision above
- a wider interest in working with children, young people and their parents/carers both inside and outside of the breakfast club.
- Enjoys being part of a hardworking and supportive staff team.
You should have:

GCSE Maths and English grade C or above
- experience of working in a childcare setting
- a high degree of initiative and sound judgement when working with children and young people
Ideally you will be willing to cover the other morning sessions in the event of unexpected absences.
