OMNI Transport Services is looking for reliable, caring and professional Private Hire Drivers to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on their journeys to and from school.
This is a rewarding term-time role for drivers who understand the importance of safe, consistent and compassionate transport. You will provide a calm and dependable service for passengers who may be vulnerable or require additional support during their journey. - Transport SEN passengers safely, respectfully and punctually.
- Follow agreed routes, pick-up times and passenger requirements.
- Communicate professionally with parents, schools, passenger assistants and the transport office.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and maintain a clean, presentable vehicle.
- Use our iCabbi dispatch app to receive and manage allocated work.
- Report any concerns, incidents, delays or safeguarding issues promptly.
Pay and payment:
- Daily earnings typically range from £50 to £200+ per day, depending on the length, timing and requirements of the route.
- Work is available during school term time, generally with morning and afternoon runs.
- Drivers can choose to be paid weekly or monthly by BACS.
- A small payment-processing fee applies to weekly payments.
What we are looking for:
- A professional, patient and reliable approach.
- Experience working with children, vulnerable passengers or SEN transport is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
- A current Private Hire Driver Licence issued by South Gloucestershire or Wiltshire Council.
- Access to a suitable, licensed and insured private hire vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS clearance suitable for working with children and vulnerable adults, or willingness to obtain one.
- A strong awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Confidence using a smartphone and the iCabbi driver app.
- Good communication skills and excellent timekeeping.
Why work with us?
- Flexible term-time work around school transport schedules.
- Routes allocated based on availability, location and vehicle suitability.
- Clear payment options, weekly or monthly by BACS.
- Support from an experienced transport operations team.
- The opportunity to make a genuine difference to children and families in your local community.
