Taste of Northumberland is looking for a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our friendly kitchen team.
This is a vital role within our restaurant, helping to keep the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently. If you’re someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in maintaining high standards and isn’t afraid of hard work, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
- Keep the kitchen, pot wash area and food preparation areas clean and hygienic.
- Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed to the required standard.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Receive and correctly store food deliveries.
- Dispose of waste and recycling safely and efficiently.
- Maintain stock of cleaning materials and notify management when supplies are running low.
- Help maintain compliance with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
- Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Head Chef or management team.

- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided.

Working Hours
Shifts will include a mixture of days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Flexible hours are available.
