Part-time Assistant Accounts Manager

About you: We’re looking for an experienced, motivated, and detail-focused individual to join our finance team. You’ll take pride in maintaining accuracy, supporting business performance, and working collaboratively across departments to ensure financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.
With a proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and a professional yet approachable manner, you’ll play a key role in supporting the continued success of the Beercocks team.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- AAT qualification
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Experience with Sage Accounts & Payroll
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- A commercially aware and proactive approach
- Previous payroll experience
What your day-to-day will look like: Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll support the smooth running of the finance department across a range of accounting and payroll responsibilities. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external accountants, helping to maintain accurate financial records and support key business reporting processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the management of financial accounts and payroll processes
- Assisting with postings to the nominal ledger across departments
- Supporting the month-end process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and KPI reporting
- Monitoring costs and efficiencies to support business performance
- Supporting cash flow forecasting
- Working closely with the Accounts Assistant and Credit Controller
- Liaising with external accountants where required
