Our supported‑living home in Newton Abbot supports four young adults aged 18–26 with learning disabilities, autism, TARP syndrome, communication needs, and epilepsy. It is a busy, active, community‑focused home where clients enjoy farm work, day services, volunteering, church, social activities, and maintaining strong family relationships.
We promote independence, confidence, and daily‑living skills, supporting clients with cooking, cleaning, budgeting, planning routines, and engaging in meaningful activities. The home is warm, structured, and person‑centred, with a consistent staff team and clear routines that help clients feel safe and empowered.
About the Role
We are recruiting a Full‑Time Team Leader to support the smooth running of the home, lead shifts, guide staff, and ensure high‑quality, person‑centred support.
Applicants MUST have:
- Extensive experience in supported living
- Previous supervisory or senior support experience
- Strong understanding of learning disabilities, autism, and positive behaviour support
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A commitment to safeguarding, dignity, and client‑led support

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading shifts and supporting the staff team
- Ensuring support plans, risk assessments, and routines are followed
- Promoting independence and meaningful outcomes for clients
- Supporting with medication, health appointments, and daily living tasks
- Maintaining high standards of documentation and safeguarding practice
- Liaising with families, professionals, and community partners
- Upholding the values of respect, dignity, and person‑centred care
