August start! We are looking for a fun and enthusiastic After School Club Teacher to run a 3-day summer camp and a weekly after school eco club at a primary school in Hemel Hempstead. The job is from 3pm - 4.30pm every Tuesday during term time, and this includes set up and clear up.
We are looking for someone with the willingness to embrace the role and foster a fun learning environment for the children. The ideal candidate is able to kindly yet confidently manage a classroom, has high energy, and demonstrates a passion for nature and looking after the world. Experience of working with children is desirable.
This is a self-employed role and you will be expected to provide us with proof of a valid Enhanced DBS check. We can assist with obtaining the checks if needed.
All materials and lesson plans will be provided. The main duties include:
- Setting up the activity and clearing away when complete
- Delivering the activity and supporting the children throughout the class
- Ensuring the class is both fun and creative
- Managing the safety of the children - register checks, toilet runs, supporting any children with learning difficulties, safe sign out, etc.
The children’s safety and enjoyment are the most important. An assistant will be provided if the class requires support.
