We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in English, and have a genuine desire to improve the lives of others. This paid PART TIME EVENINGS position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a supportive environment. Experience in care settings or familiarity with care plans is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in accordance with personalised care plans to ensure their needs are met effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Facilitate communication between clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Assist with light domestic tasks within the client’s home or care environment
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including infection control protocols
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not mandatory; training will be offered for those new to the sector
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans is beneficial
- Good IT skills for maintaining documentation and communicating effectively through digital platforms
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for building rapport with clients and team members
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills to support diverse client needs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.80-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
