Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in our 24 bed care home in Westcliff. . The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in our care home, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to follow care plans effectively. An online DBS would be desirable.
Duties
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Supporting individuals in following their personalised care plans
- Maintaining accurate records of patient care and progress
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care
- Using IT systems to document care activities and report any changes in residents' conditions
Experience
Candidates should ideally possess:
- 1+ year of previous experience in a care home or home care environment
- Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with residents and their families
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and reporting purposes
- Online DBS
- Care certificate is an advantage and/or diploma in health and social care.
- Level 2 in English & maths is preferred.
