We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Customer Account Manager to join our growing team in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of valued customer accounts, supporting customer retention, driving account growth, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience throughout the customer journey.
As a key member of our Customer Services team, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, helping them maximise value from our services while identifying opportunities to support their evolving business needs.
As a Customer Account Manager, you will:

Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the main point of contact for enquiries and support.

Build strong, long-lasting relationships through regular communication, both remotely and face-to-face.

Prepare and follow up quotations for calibration, repair and equipment replacement services.

Manage contract renewals, ensuring profitability and excellent service delivery.
-
Identify opportunities to increase customer spend through additional services and equipment solutions.

Work closely with the Sales team to support account development and business growth.

Resolve customer queries, complaints and service issues promptly and professionally.

Collaborate with internal departments including Laboratory, Logistics and Finance to ensure customer requirements are met.

Produce reports on customer activity, quotation performance, contract renewals and growth opportunities.

Deliver training and demonstrations on our Asset Management Software, both remotely and on-site when required.

Maintain accurate customer records and support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
We're seeking someone who is organised, commercially aware and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
You'll ideally have:

Previous experience in customer account management, customer service or a similar client-facing role.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

A confident and professional telephone manner.

Strong organisational and administrative abilities with excellent attention to detail.

The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Good numerical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.

The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to the wider team.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.

A full UK Driving Licence.
