We are a premier dealership specialising in Land Rover, MINI, Jaguar, VW, Bentley, and Porsche, and we are currently seeking an experienced and proactive technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with strong qualities to enhance the efficiency and productivity of a busy workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily workshop activities, including repair, maintenance, and equipment repair. There will be a balance of being on the tools as well as overall running of the workshop.
- Organize work schedules and allocate tasks to team members effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for equipment movement or parts handling.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with clients and internal departments to address specific requirements or resolve workshop-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory levels.
- Provide training and support to team members on technical procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a workshop
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other workshop machinery.
- Experience in assembly, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong customer service skills for liaising with clients.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in demanding conditions.
- Relevant qualifications and experience in a workshop environment are required.
